Mahatma Gandhi was known for his minimalist and simplistic way of dressing.
He transitioned from an elaborate Gujarati attire to a simple Dhoti and Shawl.
You will need a Bald cap, Round spectacles and a walking stick along with a dhoti and shawl to dress up like Mahatma Gandhi.
2. Charkha Craft

A charkha or the spinning wheel was an important thing for Gandhiji.
It represents Swadeshi, self-sufficiency, and at the same time interdependence.
What we Need?
- Kitchen Towel Roll / round cardboard
- Cardstock paper
- Straws
- Popsicle stick
- Glue
- Scissors
- Thread
Let’s Make It
Cut and Paste the round cardboard on the cardstock paper.
Next paste the Popsicle stick at the bottom.
Cut and paste a straw slanting to the Popsicle stick.
Add spokes to the charkha.
And finally roll a thread around the wheel until the straw.
And it’s done!
