1. Flying Ghosts
Flying Ghosts Science Experiment 👻👻 Do you remember rubbing a pencil on your hair and then attracting bits of paper. It was so fascinating for us as a kid. With halloween just around the corner, we made some flying ghosts with this simple experiment.
What we need?
- ✔ tissue paper
- ✔ scissors
- ✔ marker pen
- ✔ balloon
- ✔ Towel or your hair
Make ghost on a tissue paper. Cut out the outline. Charge the balloon by rubbing on a towel. You can also use your hair to charge the balloon. And see the magic.
Magic or Static Electricity?
When we rub the balloon on hair or towel, electrons are lost from hair and gained by the balloon giving it a static charge. When negatively charged balloon is held close to positively charged tissue paper, they are attracted to each other.
