It is so important for our kids to learn about protecting their planet earth.
Here are 10 simple Earth Day activities and Craft Ideas for Preschoolers
1. Earth Day Scavenger Hunt
Exploring the beauty of mother nature can be so exciting and full of learning for little ones.
Take your little ones on a nature walk and observe the earth.
2. Waste Segregation using Toilet paper tubes
Make a slit in the paper towel tubes. Paint or paste colored paper and label each paper tube.
Next keep some waste like paper, plastic or food waste and allow your little ones to sort the waste.
3. Growing a plant
Planting with preschoolers can be fun as well as learning for toddlers.
4. Sand Dough Earth Keepsake
What we need?
All Purpose Flour (1 cup)
Salt (1/2 cup)
2 tsp oil
1/2 cup warm water
Sand (1 cup)
Let’s Make It
Mix the ingredients all Purpose Flour, salt and oil in a mixing bowl.
Next gradually add warm water. Once the dough like consistency is achieved. Add the sand.
Next place your child’s hand in the dough. Remove the excess and bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
Once it hardens, just remove and paint the hand in blue and green.
5. Mosaic Egg Smash Earth Painting

What we need
Paints (blue and green)
Child friendly Hammer (optional)
Let’s Make It
Place the egg shell in the ziploc bag. Add the some paint in the ziploc bag. Seal it tight and shake well. Allow your toddler to use smash the shell into pieces using the Hammer.
Next, make a circle on a paper.
Then allow your preschooler to glue the smashed egg pieces onto the paper.
Note: Make sure to inspect the egg shells for any sharp pieces.
6. Earth Day Newspaper Painting
For this activity just allow your toddler to paint with green and blue color on a newspaper and later cut them out into circles to form a earth.
